What We Do

A vineyard does not have to happen at a chateau. It can happen on your property.

MyHomeVineyard.com designs, plants, and manages working vineyards on private property across Southern California. Not decorative rows. A real vineyard, engineered for your slope and your microclimate, that produces fruit season after season.

Then we make the wine. Your fruit goes to our licensed facility and comes back bottled under your own label.

Build it, manage it, bottle it. One team, start to finish.

Most companies do one of these. We do all three.

We Build It

Designed and planted for your property's slope, soil, and microclimate. A functional piece of artwork that produces fruit year after year.

We Manage It

Season after season, including the pest and disease work that requires a license. Most owners who try to manage a vineyard themselves lose vines learning how.

We Make Your Wine

Your fruit, our licensed facility, your label. Small-batch winemaking for vineyard owners who would rather drink their vineyard than fight with it.

Client Story

“They did the most superb job you could ever imagine.”

A MyHomeVineyard client

“They put in over 1,000 vines in my vineyard. It has increased my property value. I get a great tax write-off. I cannot recommend Clayton Walker and his entire team any more. They did the most superb job you could ever imagine.”

“They helped this vision I had of a par 3 in a vineyard come to a reality. They take care of everything... Clayton and Jonathan from My Home Vineyard are the only people I would ever trust with my vineyard.”

A private par 3 golf hole built into the client’s vineyard, in the client’s own words.

The Founder

Every vineyard is walked by Clayton himself.

600+ vineyards across Southern California

MyHomeVineyard.com is a family company. Clayton's father started it twenty years ago in Rancho Cucamonga, in the historic Cucamonga Valley. Clayton grew up in it, working alongside his dad from the age of eleven, and took the business over at twenty-one.

Since then he has built it into something few vineyard companies can offer: one team that designs and plants the vineyard, manages it season after season, and makes the wine in a licensed facility. More than 600 vineyards across Southern California, from Bel Air to San Diego to Palm Desert.

Clayton walks every property himself.

The Process

Built, managed, and bottled by one team.

  1. 01

    Assessment

Clayton walks the property himself. Sun exposure, slope, soil, drainage, and access. You get a straight answer about whether your land will grow good fruit and what it would take to get there.

  2. 02

    Design

A plan built around your property's microclimate. Varietals chosen for your site, row layout drawn for your terrain, terracing and irrigation engineered for the slope. No two vineyards are designed alike.

  3. 03

    Installation

Trellising, irrigation, and vines in the ground. Built to last decades, not seasons.

  4. 04

    Management

Pruning, canopy, irrigation, and harvest, season after season. This includes managing Pierce's Disease and mildew, which requires licensing and training that general landscapers do not carry.

  5. 05

    Your First Vintage

Your grapes go to our licensed facility and come back as your wine, under your own label. Most vineyards produce their first fruit in the third growing season.

Qualification

Is your property a fit?

  • Hillside or sloped terrain with 6+ hours of sun
  • Enough space for a vineyard that is worth building
  • Located in Southern California
  • Well-draining soil (we test)
  • Equipment access for installation
  • A 3 to 5 year horizon to full production

Estate vineyards are a significant, long-term investment in your property. If that fits your plans, the assessment is complimentary.
